Message Hi all!

Thorston (among others) made a couple of improvements to GEF during this
winter. The result of this was a patched version of GEF in the file
sharing area (gef_patches.zip).

Have there been any attempts to merge these changes into the main
development? As far as I know this would brake compatibility.

What speaks against making it compatible with the "normal" GEF version?

Would it be MUCH better to make dependent projects (like ArgoUML)
compatible to the patched version and then simply make the patched
version the normal version of GEF (and thus breaking compatibility to
earlier versions)?

greetings,
Raphael
